AbstractThe article presents a response to the article "King Srong btsan sGam po's Mines -- Wealth Accumulation and Religious Asceticism in Buddhist Tibet," by Martin A. Mills. According to the author, Mills' not only produces distortions by quoting and misquoting his work out of context, but also attributes words and ideas to him that he never wrote nor implied. The author also said that Mills has used his work to fabricate a scholarly straw man against which he can exercise his own train of thought.
