Abstract「二諦」是佛教思想的基本架構，禪宗在佛教思想傳承
上雖未直接運用二諦的思想語言，但在本質上卻沒離開這
一架構. 本文即依此架構，檢視禪宗五祖弘忍傳法的根本立
場，由此主張若不從「世俗諦」和「第一義諦」兩個層次的
互補相順上去究明神秀與惠能所作的禪偈，則將忽略弘忍所
傳之「法」的深層意含，及五祖傳法此歷史事件在整個
佛教思想傳承上的一貫性.
