Abstract本文所論之玄學,乃指魏晉時代之玄妙思想而言。全文分三段:
一、玄學思想之本質:魏晉時代玄學導源於王充論衡。玄學思想之演變,於三國時期以周易為主;正始時期以易,老為主;元康時期以老莊為主;永嘉時期以莊學為主。由是可知玄學之本質或中心問題,乃天人時或天人合一之問題。
二、般若思想之流行:順歷史發展之線索,試述六家七宗對般若思想之體悟,特別是當時般若思想主流本無宗,心無宗,即色宗三家對性空本無之看法。
三、玄佛交融之契接,乃為「言意之辨」與「得意忘言」之形上思想方法,此由魏初王弼提倡,其特徵乃超脫「言」「象」之表相,把握「意」之實質。當佛學初入中國,魏晉群僧如支道林,竺道生皆援此方法以講經,再則般若思想之「真如」、「空」、「有」觀念,與玄學「自然」「無」「有」相通,遂使玄佛交融,促進中國佛學思想發展。
