AbstractYe shes sde's "1Ta ba'i khyad par" is one of the basic materials for studying T'u-fan Buddhism. It provides us with information on the Buddhist doctrines as understood by the Tibetans in that period. The author possessed the title of "Zhu /Zhus chen gyi lo tsā ba" that means he was the head of a governmental translation organization. I believe that, for a thorough understanding of the Translation of Buddhist Scriptures during T'u-fan Kingdom and the relations between Tun-huang and Central Tibet (dBus), Ye shes sde is an important subject to be studied.

This translation is from the 16th folio of the original text (sku gsum; Skt. trayah kayah; 三身) to the end of the 32nd folio (rnam par shes pa brgyad; Skt. astau vijnānāni; 八識). During the translation I made reference to Professor Ueyama's work, but some parts of the translation are different from what Professor Ueyama has done. However, I owe him many thanks.
