| Abstract | Based on Panikkar's writings prior to 1989,examined from the perspective of d Ge lugs Buddhism. A criticism of the idea that the ultimate truth transcends the intelligible',the response to which is cosmic trust,' and the anti-rationalistic elements in Panikkar's theology. An exposition of the Dalai Lama's view of religious differences as providing an alternative approach to tolerance which does not require anti-rationalism. |
