Abstract | Many works have been attributed to the 10th Karma-pa, one of the most important painter/patriarchs in the history of Tibetan art,but there continues to be much speculation about what constitutes his style. The author compares seven paintings, bearing Karma-pa's inscription in his own hand, that he recently discovered in the Lijiang Dongba Cultural Museum in China with two examples in the Art Institute's exhibition `Himalayas:An Aesthetic Adventure'. |
