Abstract佛教唯識學和中觀學的爭論已經很久了。歷史上也出現過調和論,但爭論始終是種不可避免的事實。要說明這種原因,應說的方面很多,但基本方面卻不多。現在謹就基本方面之一來試著談談。唯識和中觀之爭,習慣上也叫「空有之爭」。從兩家的論點上講,兩家爭論的焦點,就是諸法有無自性。這爭論表現在兩家對立的一切方面,兩家其他許多方面的議論都是圍繞此問題、為此問題服務的。因此,我們把這問題叫做「空有之爭」的焦點所在。
