Abstract | A reading of Luke-Acts and the role of the Holy Spirit can helpfully inform Buddhists by recognizing some of the similarities between the function of the Holy Spirit and Buddhist truth or Dharma. For Buddhism, this could make the presence of Dharma seem more immediate. It could also make the Buddhist religious tradition more dynamic in everyday life. Christians would also benefit from such a reading, which would mitigate Christian views of judgmentalism, evil, and historicity.
