Abstract佛陀為一大事因緣,出現於世,因機逗教,說法四十九年,開示八萬四干法門,是菩薩不捨眾生,慈悲攝受一切眾生故. 佛生人世,是兩足之尊,非創造宇宙萬物之神祇. 而「一切眾生,皆有如來佛性」,「心佛眾生,等無差別.」故人成即佛成. 所以佛教徒,非唯信佛而已,尚須立志學佛,以「成佛」為生命之最終目標.

然而,佛道非一蹴即成,所謂「見家子,千年學佛威儀,萬年學佛細行,不得成佛.」何以故,真如佛性,須親修親證. 眾生根性不同,有人修禪,有人習淨. 「方便有多門,歸元無二路.」一門契入,需緊追不捨,薰修日久,必有所悟.

大佛頂如來密因修證了義諸菩薩萬行首楞嚴經,是唐天竺沙門般刺密帝譯及烏萇國沙門彌伽釋迦譯語,而由房融筆受. 此經說理精密透徹,文字優美典雅,是部甚難希有之經典. 宋儒周敦頤有云:「自從一讀楞嚴後,不看世間糟柏書.」實深有感觸也.

博聞強記如阿難,猶不能悟入佛之知見,以此,佛陀特別令二十五聖,各自陳述圓通,親身將實際體驗證悟方法講出來,其中包括六根,六塵,六識及七大之悟入,啟示「心生法生,心滅法滅」,「心有生滅,而自性原無生滅」之根本,二十五聖之修證,各有奧妙,而文殊菩薩,猶讚嘆觀音法門:「此方真教體,清淨在音聞,欲取三摩提,實以聞中入.」

故本文擬先討論二十四聖之種種修持方法,再論觀世音菩薩之聞性菩提妙覺,以顯其何以優於其他法門.
