Abstract首述佛教傳播到中國的歷史,及中國書法藝術之發展;其次敘述日本「襌書」(禪道與書法結合)之發展情形;最後介紹圜悟與張即之二人之作品. 「襌書」一詞雖源於日本,但學襌入書卻始於中國宋代,眼見日本社會人文素養漫高,臺灣卻忽略了人文素養之提倡,實值得我們深思.
