This article firstly explores the current status of life education in Taiwan and finds life education in Taiwan has made a certain degree progress, but life issues that life education has to face sometimes go beyond the coping ability of current science or philosophy education could be explored further, and some limitations and necks that life education would meet up likely could be broken through, and a specialized field of life education would be constructed and there would be a more broad learning space for life education. On these grounds the platform sutra is selected as the subject, and the researcher studies the platform sutra from the view point of the philosophy, target, teacher’s qualification etc of the education and analyse its content about life education. The results reveal that the Chang Buddhism considers that the nature of every life is the first target of all,and its teaching content, method and evaluation etc are directed mainly by how to return to the nature, and the teacher’s qualification of life education must have the pass from a schoolmaster and has returned to one’s nature etc. finally, the results and its meaning to modern life education and to construct the life education and that with culture and global view are discussed, and some suggestions are addressed to apply to current life education and death education. |
