| Abstract | 清代佛教是從清順治元年(1644)至宣統三年(1911)共268年間清朝一代的佛教。清朝的佛教政策基本上延續明代,佛教宗派繼承著明
末的遺緒,淨土成為各宗共修,念佛淨土在社會上更加普及,間或有禪宗的顯發。清代後期,國勢衰落,在內憂外患之下,傳統佛教日漸衰微。居士佛教的興起則為積弊已久的。
