| Abstract | 序言(一)日本淨土三曼陀羅———當麻曼陀羅、智光曼陀羅、青海曼陀羅所謂“曼陀羅”,是梵語Mandala的漢語音譯,有輪圓具足、聚集、壇城、道場之意[1]。即築方圓之土壇,安置諸尊於此祭供,聚集具足諸尊諸德成一大法門,如轂輞輻具足而成圓滿之車輪,是曼陀羅的本義。描繪佛、菩薩及其莊嚴淨土的組合圖畫,亦是“曼陀羅”之一種。淨土宗所謂“曼陀羅”,嚴格說應為“淨土變相圖”[2]。被世人尊為彌陀化身的唐代善導大師(613—681)就是在看到一幅奇妙的淨土曼陀羅之後,而發出真誠懇切之心求生西方淨土的。善導大師生前曾親自創作了三百餘幅淨土曼陀羅,大約同時...
