| Abstract | 正覺的默照禪與宗杲的看話禪一樣，都是為了糾正當時文字禪、口頭禪的弊病而產生的，正覺的禪法在理論上繼承了曹洞宗綜合慧能南宗與神秀北宗的傳統，並與神會、宗密一系荷澤宗的靈知說有一定的淵源關系，但在具體的宗教實踐上，默照禪則進一步退向神秀北宗的禪法。
