Abstract佛法指出,眾生煩惱的根源在於自我的妄執,惟有「無我」的智慧,才能滅除錯誤的觀念,依於正見以引導正行,而終能臻至圓滿智證的境界。斷執的證慧由現觀諸法因緣生、無自性的勝義空慧而得;而觀慧的現證依於定力而發,但孤定不能成慧,惟有止觀兼學且互為扶持方能證得。有關定慧二學的修習,無論是聖典結集、師資傳承與個人修持,都可見到不同的風格、學風與偏向。禪者修持的對治需求與根性取向,影響了止觀師承的分立,也反映在禪學典籍的編著風格上;流風所及,更開展出聲聞、大乘禪法的不同氣象。印順導師依此提出「定慧綜合」與「定慧分別」兩個概念,以標示《雜阿含經》與《中阿含經》結集定慧二學的不同重點。本文以《瑜伽師地論》「聲聞地」與《清淨道論》「定、慧」二品,作為「綜合」與「分別」論者的代表,解析彼等對於定慧二學的演變與應用,以此分別南北傳聲聞(部派)禪法的不同學風。
