| Abstract | 《中國密教史》讀後感夏星今年夏天，在北京召開的一次佛教學術討論會上，有學者在會上非常感慨地談道現今中國大陸竟無一人治密教，我當時聽了，覺得不以為然。因為當時據我所知，一本名為《中國密教史》（以下簡稱《密教史》）的書正由中國社會科學出版社印刷之中。時隔幾個月後，在北京舉行的“中日佛教第四屆學術會議”上，《密教史》一書正式和與會的學者見面，於是乎學者的擔心似乎多餘了，感慨也無必要矣﹗《密教史》的作者呂建福是青海社會科學院的年青學者。他畢業於中國社會科學院研究生院世界宗教系。
