Abstract天臺宗的“性具善惡”觀在具體發展中是有細微變化的。作為“性具善惡”思想成立基礎的“一念心”具有三層含義 :其一 ,“心”與外緣相遇而起動的瞬間。其二 ,無明與法性的相即相待。其三 ,心即實相 ,實相即心。智觑的“性具善惡”有“法門教化”的含義 ,而其哲學論證則是“三因互具”。湛然謹慎地引入了真如不變隨緣的觀念 ,在本體論上提出了“一念心性真如”的提法 ,但在論證“無情有性”說時仍然偏于“理體”而未能妥貼地將一念心與真如合為一體。在性具善惡問題上 ,湛然貢獻出了兩個理論命題 ,即“修性不二”和“染凈不二”。湛然引入《起信論》之說卻引發了宋代天臺宗內部的爭論。在“山家”、“山外”之爭中 ,知禮提出了“理毒性惡”的思想 ,將佛性具惡的層面提高到了“理體”的高度 ,這是性具善惡思想的極致。
