Abstract | The focus of this paper is on the relationship of Humanistic Buddhism with Western Science. It will show how they have similarities and differences. Some suggestions will be given as to how these two philosophies and practices can learn from each other, work together and bring benefit so we can increase the possibilities of enhancing our chances for developing a sustainable and healthy life in this increasingly complex and traumatized world. This research will also explain how we can create an environment that can both enhance our individual well-being and the well-being of others so that we can all have the opportunity of creating a “pure land” both within and without.
