Abstract | 惠能從《金剛經》的「應無所住而生其心」一句,初聞而言下開悟,再聞而大悟「一切萬法不離自性」。自性的「本自清淨、本不生滅、本自具足、本無動搖、能生萬法」等義,實際開創了中國禪宗,影響東亞地區的佛教,也深化人類文化。《六祖壇經》所蘊含的創造力,以般若智慧和菩提自性為主軸,把佛教推至巔峰,正是人類的制勝之道,也是人類所必需的。
From the sentence “One should abide nowhere to arouse his/her mind”in The Diamond Sutra, Hui-neng was enlightened upon first hearing, and fully enlightened to realize that all dharmas are not apart from the self-nature. The meanings of self-nature such as “originally pure”, “originally no-arising and no-disappearing”, “originally encompassing”, “originally no-moving”, “being able to arouse all dharmas” and so on substantially established the Ch’an School of Chinese Buddhism, exerted influence on East Asian Buddhism, and deepened world culture. The creativity embedded in The Sixth Patriarch’s Platform Sutra” centers on two axes of prajna wisdom and bodhi self-nature, pushing Buddhism to its zenith. Creativity is really the key to success and the most wanted by humanity. |
