| Abstract | 迄今為止，分藏於世界各地的敦煌文獻已被編為5萬餘號，宗教文獻占了90％以上，個中又以佛教文獻為主。這里我們介紹兩篇印度佛教天文學文獻，對研究印度天文學史、中印文化交流史和佛教文化，恐不無裨益。這兩篇文獻是：藏在英國圖書館東方寫本部的斯坦因“收集”品S.3374、S.6024、S.1648和藏在俄羅斯科學院東方學研究所聖彼得堡分所的Дх00519號。經查對，S.3374為《摩登伽經》，傳世本見日本《大正藏經》第21卷第399至410頁。寫本首尾均殘，現存文字系原經中間部位的一部分，約占全經的28％。S.6024、S.1648和Дх00519為《舍頭諫太子二十八宿經》 （簡稱《舍頭諫經》），傳世本見《大正藏經》第 21卷第 410至419頁。前兩件前後殘失，均系斷片。但字跡相同，而且S.6024的末端與S.1648的開端之間僅缺84字。以寫本每行16~18字計，兩件間約殘去 5行文字。第三件為一小斷片，但筆跡與前二件相同。因此，嚴格說來，此三號是同一寫本的三個斷片，我們理應將它們當作一篇文獻來看待。此篇現有文字約 占原經的30 %左右。
An Indian Buddhist classic introduced into China in early time, Sutra of Matanga pre-sents an Indian astrological knowledge, which is unfolded along a lovely story of mar-riage. According to it the celestial hierarchy of ancient India put ang at the foremost po-sition of the twenty-eight constellations, as different from its Chinese counterpart inwhich jiao ranks first. However, this sequence is similar to that popular in the Liangshanarea of the Yi people in southwest China. The reason for the resemblance remains for thefuture research. The fragments of Sutra of Matanga and Sutra of Sardula-karna in this es-say are from Dunhuang. |
