| Abstract | 以莫高窟“天王堂”為研究中心,結合對《首楞嚴經》、敦煌文獻與敦煌石窟內容的考證,從其繪塑內容所含的密法入手,考察“天王堂”土塔的有關問題。筆者認為,莫高窟“天王堂”實質上是“楞嚴壇”;“天王堂”密法體系應是從吐蕃時期沿襲下來;“天王堂”最早可能始建于吐蕃時期,針對當時敦煌受到多種佛教流派的沖擊與僧人違背律儀的普遍情況而建;曹延祿重修“天王堂”,應該是由于當時末法思想流布,于末法中維護佛法的一種手段,可能與藏經洞的封閉時間接近。
Based on an investigation of the Temple of the Heavenly Kong of Dunhuang and the text of the Suramgama-Samadhi-Sutra, the authors hold that the Temple of the Heavenly King is a temple of the Suramgama-Samadhi, established by the Tibetans to counteract the influence of the various non-Buddhist sects upon the Tantrist doctrine and the corruption of the monks. The rebuilding of the temple by Cao Yanlu is possibly motivated by the attempt to counteract the various non-Buddhist thoughts. |
