| Abstract | 北宋著名詩僧惠洪的文字禪觀念是針對當時禪門流行的“無事禪”和“無言禪”而提出來的。他借助包括佛學以外的儒道思想資源和經典言論對“不立文字,教外別傳”、“平常無事”的禪宗宗旨進行修正,為文字禪的有效性作出辯護。在文字禪理論的支持下,惠洪留下的卷帙浩繁的著述,包括佛教的經論註疏、僧史僧傳、語錄偈頌、禪宗綱要以及世俗的詩文辭賦、筆記雜錄、詩話詩格、經書註解。惠洪能成為宋代文字禪的代表人物,與其童年教育、禪門師承、社會交往、坎坷遭遇有關,獨特的人生經歷使他具備了融通儒與釋、禪與教、詩與禪的眼光。惠洪的著述和文字禪觀念對後世禪林影響深遠,甚至在日本五山禪林文學裏受到歡迎。
The idea of Wenzi Zen(文字禪) by Hui Hong, the famous Buddhist poet in North Song dynasty, was raised against the widespread Wushi Zen(無事禪) and Wuyan Zen(無言禪) in that time. Utilizing Confucius thoughts and classic sayings, he corrected the zen tenets and defended for the effectiveness of Wenzi Zen. In the support of this theory, he left abundant Buddhist as well as mundane works. The typical life experience of Hui Hong contributed a lot to his succeeding as a representative figure of Wenzi Zen field in North Song dynasty. His works and ideas of Wenzi Zen deeply impacted and were applauded in Wushan Buddhist literature of Japan. |
