Abstract 自由意志是討論道德觀的要素。吾人若無自由意志,無法由自己決定自己的行為,那麼關於道德善惡的討論,似乎意義不大。換句話說如果行為的選擇無法由自己的意志決定,而是由「業報」或「神的意志」等等外在力量決定,那麼似乎就沒必要探討善惡的準則或者行善的意義。本文從自由意志與道德觀的面向出發,探討佛教的覺知理論,包括普通人、禪修者、與覺者的覺知過程中,自由意志如何可能,自由意志與業報的關係,以及善惡的準則及意涵。
