Abstract | 與昔日教創臺賢之氣象相比,元代的義學已可謂強弩之末。但是,學貫三教、振玄發微之人宗大匠,則所在皆有。臺宗後人在經歷曠日持久的山家、山外之爭以後,對義學的興趣已普遍不如其前輩濃厚,天臺祖道與凈土法門並行,或將禪宗的接人方式、說法風格乃至禪林規制直接援入臺宗講院的做法,比比皆是。有元一代,承緒天臺宗法脈的主要是「四明三家」中的南屏梵臻系大德,特別是北峰宗印門下三大高足剡源覺先、桐洲懷坦、佛光法照的傳人。
Comparing with the radiant bloom of Hua-yen and Tiantai school in Sui,Tang dynasty, Buddhist doctrine in Yuan Dynasty is just like a spent bullet. But there were still a lot of eminent Buddhist monks who were accomplished in Three Vehicles of Learning. After a long time of debate between Shanjia school and Shanwai school, the successors of Tiantai have lost interest in discussing pure theory of Buddhist doctrine. In Yuan dynasty, Tiantai masters tried to syncretize Tiantai thought and the practical ways of Pure Land, and introduced the method,style and regulation of Chan sect to Tiantai. Shanyuan’juexian, Tongzhou’huaitan, Foguang’fazhao are the main three offshoots of Tiantai School in Yuan dynasty. |
