| Abstract | 在3—6世紀的佛教傳播過程中，北方游牧民族和來自西域等地的所謂「胡人」確實發揮了比較獨特的作用，尤其是在4世紀北方佛教的發展過程中更是如此。這個問題需要從兩個方面來理解：第一，胡人是較早接受和傳播佛教信仰的群體，在北方尤為明顯；第二，胡人南下造成的慘烈社會現實，迫使北方人民尋求一種寄托和安慰，客觀上為佛教的發展提供了社會基礎。
During the process of Spreadting Buddhism from the 3rd century to 6th century, the non-Han nationalities played a very special role, especially in the 4th century when Buddhism was developing in the north. We need to understand this problem from two aspects. Firstly, the non-Han nationalities accepted and spread Buddhism earlier than people in other areas. Secondly, in pace with the non-Han nationalities`getting into the Huanghe River valley, people living in the north suffered greatly. They were eagerly seeking for a spitual sustenance and consolation. Therefore, it produced a social basis for the development of Buddhism. |
