Abstract赤德松贊統治時期（公元798年－815年）是吐蕃留下石刻碑文最多的時期。赤德松贊的統治上承赤松德贊和牟尼贊普，下啟赤祖德贊和郎達瑪，在藏傳佛教「前弘期」發展史上是一關鍵時期。但據赤德松贊時期的石刻碑銘分析，此一時期佛教對吐蕃的影響在廣度和深度上都是很有限的。
