| Abstract | 禪宗史上，荷澤神會(684—758)的登場不僅打破了禪宗"一元化"的局面，形成"南北二宗"的對立，更引發了五祖弘忍門下各系統的"宗派自覺性"，牛頭宗、凈眾宗、保唐宗、洪州宗、石頭宗等初期禪宗各派相繼成立。可見，神會在禪宗史發展過程中所占地位之重要。本文主要通過對神會生涯及其開法情況的考察，闡明神會對當時社會和佛教界的影響。 |
