| Abstract | 本文從宏觀的角度嘗試梳理漢傳佛教脈絡下的「佛教醫療」所可能涉及的議題，透過學界研究概況的回顧希望能掌握此研究課題發展現況。理論部分依傳統百科全書式的思維，嘗試從漢譯佛典中歸納其中所傳達的身心與存有的本質、生死的流轉與超克，並以此作為一種內部觀點的呈現，也作為本文討論漢傳佛教中的修持與療癒實踐的思想基礎。此外也嘗試從戒律持守下的醫藥使用規範以及禪病療法兩個子題來初步探索僧人修持過程中面對切身健康議題的因應之策。透過文獻梳理，期盼能引發更多青年學者對此主題的研究興趣。
This paper applies a macro perspective to determine the possible dimensions of so-called "Buddhist medicine" in the context of Chinese Buddhism. Through reviewing secondary sources, I hope to present a rather clear context on the correct research development of this topic. I will follow the encyclopedic way of thinking and summarize the concepts on the essence of body, mind and being recorded in the Chinese Buddhist canon. I will treat them as insider perspectives and fundamental theories of spiritual cultivation and healing for further discussion. Following that, I will explore two sub-issues. The first is about the conflict on observing monastic discipline and medical treatment. The second is on healing illness caused by contemplative practices. Through these two aspects, I hope to gain a better understanding on the health issues one has to face during serious religious practices. It is also my hope to inspire more young scholars to engage in this interesting research field in Taiwan. |
