The architecture of Japanese Buddhist temples was at first introduced as a thing arranging their appearance in accordance with their outer style, and then interest in their inner space grew deepened with worshippers' invasion. Soon special inner temple was created of inhabitable, compact and serene climate. After they accepted the new Chinese style at the beginning of Middle Ages, the space suffered a great and active change under the influence of the traditional space; in comparison with the intention to the space in the indifferent European temples on each developing stage, we want to offer an aid to consider the characteristic of our national culture in Japanese architecture.
