| Abstract | 본고는 돈황사본 『인왕반야실상론권제이』(이하 “『인왕실상론』”)의 문헌적 특징을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 특히 논자가 기존에 제시했던 가설에 대한 비판을 포함하고 있다. 본고의 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다.
1) 대정장본에 수록된 『인왕실상론』은 실제 사본과 비교했을 때 적지 않은 오류를 가지고 있다. 본고에서는 이에 대한 교정표를 작성하였으며 중복 내용을 제외하면 총 110건의 교정 건을 확인하였다.
2) 『인왕실상론』에서 주석하고 있는 『인왕경』의 경문을 현행본 『인왕경』과 비교해 보았을 때 존재하지 않거나 다른 형태의 경문이 나타난다. 이는 『인왕경』 또한 전승 과정에서 텍스트의 변천이 있었거나 북조에서 유통되었던 또 다른 형태의 『인왕경』이 존재했을 가능성을 시사한다.
3) 『인왕실상론』은 십지(十地)에 대한 해석에 있어서 『십지경론』이 아닌 『십주비바사론』과 『보살영락본업경』을 중요하게 인용하고 있다. 적어도 현존 부분에서는 『십지경론』에 대한 직접 인용이 드러나지 않는다.
4) 『인왕실상론』의 인용경론군은 또 다른 지론문헌인 『십지론의소』의 인용경론군 안에 대부분 포함된다. 특히 『우바새계경』과 『십주비바사론』을 함께 인용하고 있는 경우는 현존 지론문헌 중 『십지론의소』와 『인왕실상론』뿐이다. 또한 『인왕실상론』에는 『십지론의소』와 동일한 자구의 개념 해석도 등장하는데, 이 또한 다른 문헌에서는 찾을 수 없었다. 따라서 『인왕실상론』과 『십지론의소』 사이에 모종의 사상적 연관성을 추정할 수 있다.
5) 『인왕실상론』은 『십지경론』을 직접적으로 인용하지는 않지만, 지론학파에서 형성된 교학적 개념들을 사용하고 있다. 이것은 이미 기존의 연구에서도 지적된 것이지만, 본고에서는 “삼신(三身)”과 “삼종세간(三種世間)”이라는 지론학파의 교학을 추가적으로 확인하였다.
이상 『인왕실상론』은 지론학파의 영향하에 성립된 문헌임이 입증되며, 당 문헌을 지론학파 성립 이전에 찬술된 것으로 추정했던 논자의 기존 가설은 폐기한다.
This paper aims to submit the doctrinal features of a Dunhuang manuscript named Renwangbore-shixianglun (『仁王般若實相論』, henceforth “RBS”), which is a commentary on a Chinese apocryphal sūtra RenwangJing (『仁王經』). The results of this research can be summarized as follows:
1) Compared to the original manuscript, the printed version of RBS in Taisho edition contains a substantial amount of erroneous passages. In total, 110 errors have been verified through the textual analysis.
2) The Renwang-Jing in the RBS contains slightly different passages from the present Renwang-Jing. This suggests that different versions of RenwangJing may have existed at the time of composing RBS, approximately the
early 6th C.E.
3) RBS mentions doctrines that are characteristic of those introduced by the Dilun Masters, such as Three Bodies (三身) or Three Secular Worlds (三種世間). This implies that RBS was written under the ideological influence of the Dilun School.
4) Unlike other Dilun texts, however, RBS contains no passages quoting from Shidijing-lun (『十地經論』), which was the core reference of the Dilun School thought. Even in the section that explains the ten stages (十地) of
the Bodhisattva, RBS refers to texts that existed before the Shidijing-lun was translated, such as Pusayingluobenye-Jing (『菩薩瓔珞本業經』) and Sizhupiposha-Lun (『十住毘婆沙論』. *Daśabhūmika-vibhāṣā).
5) The list of texts quoted in RBS shows a close affinity to that of another Dunhuang manuscript Shidilun-yishu (『十地論義疏』). Especially the Youposejie-Jing (『優婆塞戒經』, *Upāsaka-śīla-sūtra) and the Sizhu-piposha-Lun are cited in these two texts exclusively. Moreover, these two texts share an identical passage that cannot be found elsewhere. These facts suggest that RBS and Shidilunyishu were written in the same doctrinal lineage.
