| Abstract | 대장경 전산화는 지구촌의 모든 가족들이 정보화 시대에 대장경을 통해 불교적 가치관과 소양을 지닐 수 있게 하기 위해서 반드시 필요하다.
필자는 2005년 1월 1일부터 2011년 6월 현재까지 전자불전문화콘텐츠연구소(EBTC)에서 근무하고 있다. 본 논문은 필자가 근무하고 있는 ‘전자불전문화콘텐츠연구소’의 사업 중 ‘한국불교전서 전산화’와 ‘한글대장경 전산화’와 관련된 부분을 확충해서 전체 ‘대장경 전산화’의 일반론에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 대장경 전산화의 현황을 우선 알아보고 전망에 대해 개괄적으로 서술하였다.
대장경 전산화에 대해 전자불전문화콘텐츠연구소는 한국불교전서와 한글대장경의 전산화를 주로 담당하였다. 고려대장경연구소는 고려 재조대장경의 전산화를 완수하고, 초조대장경의 전산화의 영역까지 확대해서 전산화의 과제를 담당하고 있다. 그리고 외국의 전산화에 대해서 미국, 일본, 중국, 대만 등의 현황에 대해 살펴보았다.
결론적으로 대장경의 전산화는 21세기형 격의(格義) 불교이다. 격의 불교는 불교 이외의 모든 종교의 관념에 불교의 술어(述語)를 끼워 맞춰서 불교를 이해하는 것이다. 21세기는 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 시대이므로 이 시대에 알맞은 불교의 위치설정이 중요한데, 이것이 이 시대의 격의불교이다. 21세기 인류는 지금까지 경험하지 못했던 크나큰 사회적 변동의 한 가운데 서 있다. 언제, 어디서나 인터넷 접촉을 통해 정보의 흐름이 현실사회에 양향을 줄 수 있는 사회, 바로 유비쿼터스 시대인 것이다. 이러한 정보화 혁명의 시대에 발맞춘 디지털 대장경은 21세기형 격의 불교라고 가히 말할 수 있다.
이러한 시점에서 대장경 전산화에 대해 몇가지 제언을 하고자 한다.
첫째 전산화할 대장경을 선정하는 부분에서 우선 한국대장경(한국관련불교문헌)의 규명정립이 이루어져야 한다. 그 후 그 외 한문 대장경, 산스크리트, 빨리어, 티벳어 등으로 발전해야 한다.
둘째 선정된 대장경에 상응하는 산스크리트 원전 등 종합적 분석이 이루어져야 한다.
셋째 대장경의 번역에 있어서 명확한 독자층의 규정과 하나의 통일된 번역안의 정립이다.
넷째 번역 이후 증의와 교정의 완벽한 편집과정을 위한 증의규정과 교정지침이 필요하다.
다섯째 대장경의 세계화를 위한 영역(英譯)이 필수적이다.
Buddhist Tripitaka computerization is necessary certainly. Because We want in order for all families of the global village to keep a sense of value and a knowledge of Buddhism through Buddhist Sutras in information age.
I am working from 2005 January 1st until 2011 June present time in EBTC(Institute of Electronic Buddhist Texts & Culture contents; 電子佛典文化 Contents硏究所). The present paper expands the digitization of Hanguk Pulgyo Chonso(韓國佛敎全書) and Hangul Tripitaka(Korean alphabet-한글-大藏經) among EBTC enterprises and discusses about the general consideration of whole Buddhist Tripitaka computerization. And The Research institute of Tripitaka koreana
accomplished the computerization of the Tripitaka Koreana and is magnifying in even different territory of Tripitaka now. Also the present paper tried to observe about Tripitaka computerization of the foreign nation about present condition of the United States, Japan, China and Taiwan etc.
Conclusively the Buddhist Sutras computerization is 21st century style Buddhisms. The 21st century is Ubiquitous time. The location set of proper Buddhism is important in this time. The 21st century human beings stand one middle of big social fluctuation that will not experience until now. Digital Buddhist Tripitaka which keeps in step in time of like this informationalization revolution is 21st century style Buddhisms.
From rightly like this point the present paper will propose 5 kinds about Buddhist Tripitaka computerization.
First, Korean Buddhist Sutras(韓國大藏經; the Korean literature relation Buddhism) does to become accomplished the close examination triangular position first of all from the part which selects Buddhist Sutras which will computerize. Afterwords The computerization of Tripitaka must develop with external Chinese writing Buddhist Sutras, Sanskrit, Pali, Tibet etc.
Second, the synthetic analysis must become accomplished about the Sanskrit etc. source book which corresponds in Buddhist Sutras which is selected.
Third, Provision of the class of readers which is clear and the translation methodology which one is unified must take a triangular position in the point of a Buddhist Tripitaka translation.
Fourth, the guide for an elaboration and for editing are necessary after translation.
Fifth, the English translation of Buddhist Tripitaka is essential in order for a globalization of Buddhist Sutras. |
