Abstract澄觀《華嚴經疏鈔》和李通玄《新華嚴經論》,是研習《華嚴經》最為通行的注疏。《疏鈔》與《新論》對於《華嚴經》釋義,在諸多方面頗為不同,如處會、科分、判教、宗趣、圓義、觀行、以及引易象釋經等。對比分析可見,澄觀《疏鈔》的釋義宏大深刻,教之意味濃厚;而李通玄《新論》的釋義則簡明玄妙,觀之旨趣顯然。澄觀《疏鈔》徵引經論遍及佛教各宗各派以及儒道學說,更多體現融會諸家的教理解說特點,頗具印度大乘的思辯式、概念邏輯推理式的論述風格,是印度佛學與中國文化思維方式相結合的一種解釋風格。而李通玄《新論》多以《周易》象理式表法喻意觀行義理,來解釋經中成佛始終因果深義,頗具觀行次第抉擇特點,其註疏完全是像理式、體悟式的,偏向於中國文化的象理釋義,重視象徵意義的發揮,更接近禪宗的思維方式。
