| Abstract | 도작의 『安樂集』은 『觀無量壽經』과 曇鸞의 『往生論註』에 큰 영향을 받아 말법시대에 상응하는 가르침을 제창하여 念佛修行에 의해서 淨土에 往生하는 방법을 설한 것이다.
『안락집』에 나타난 정토왕생의 수행체계는 첫째는 반드시 보리심을 발해야 한다. 보리심은 성불하려는 마음이고, 성불하려는 마음은 중생을 제도하려는 마음이기 때문에 반드시 보리심이 근본이 되어야 한다고 하였다. 둘째는 稱名念佛에서는 懺悔修福과 더불어 아미타불의 명호를 칭하면, 三世의 모든 죄가 소멸한다고 하였다. 세 번째는 모든 삼매 중에서 최고인 염불삼매를 닦으면 貪⋅瞋⋅癡의 모든 罪業을 소멸하고, 정토에 왕생한다.
네 번째는 一心으로 아미타불의 명호를 불러서 염불삼매에 이르면 일체장애를 극복하며, 그리고 臨命終時에 아미타불께서 光明蓮花臺로 영접하여 정토에 왕생하여 해탈한다는 것이다. 또한 善行으로서 왕생이 가능하다고 하였다. 이것은 『안락집』에 나타난 정토수행법의 특징이다.
이상과 같이『安樂集』에서 말법의 중생에게 時機相應의 가르침인 정토수행법을 제창하여 왕생해탈의 길을 제시한 점은 정토교학의 발전뿐만 아니라 민중들이 누구나 불교를 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공하였다.
Daochuo’s(562-645) Anle-ji 『安樂集』 (Paradise Collection), under the strong influence of the Contemplation Sūtra 『觀無量壽經』 and Tanluan’s 曇鸞 Discourse on the Rebirth into the Pure Land 『往生論註』, advocated the practice corresponding to the latter-day Dharma thoughts and expounded on how to be born again in the pure land through the practice of the Buddha Remembrance.
The cultivating method as described in the Anle ji can be divided into two. One is through the chanting and the other, through the virtuous roots 善根. Especially the advocation of rebirth by means of the virtuous deeds was the Anle ji’s unique one. The method of chanting is performed by the following manners: first, by arousing the enlightened mind 菩提心; second, in the chanting of the Buddha’s name 稱名念佛 one should recite the name of Amitabha along with repentance and good deeds 懺悔修福 in an effort to eradicate all the guilt committed at the Three Times; third
and last, if one cultivates the samadhi of the Buddha Recollection, which is the supreme of all the samadhi, one can cease all the evil activities of greed, hatred and delusion and then be born in the pure land.
As mentioned above, the practice methods advocated in the Anle ji provided opportunities for the development of the Pure Land doctrines and easy access to Buddhism for the general public. |
