Abstract作為知識形態的近代中國佛學的誕生,歐陽竟無的出現,無論從學術方法、思想創發的深度還是系統方面,都可以說是值得注意的現象。章太炎說他“所見深博出恒人上,不欲襄窯韞效師拳者所為”,①實非虛言。內學院的佛學方向和規模在竟無的思想中,基本得到確定,后學只不過對其學說加以更加細密的演繹和語言文獻上的支持。由于竟無的思想過于精簡且詳于性理,致使后學研究內學院的學說,每于呂澂多所抉擇而于竟無之學,則未能盡其堂奧。本文無意于就竟無之學作通觀之論,而是抽繹其學思中的三個問題,作較詳盡的哲學史的讀解與批評。
