Abstract本文考察智儼的如來藏與佛性思想中,有關「體性」意義之處,主要內容包括:智儼引用三階教的如來藏之說,指出如來藏是:凡聖的本體、生死的本體、體真而相假,又引體相五喻,又引《如來藏經》中的染淨九喻。智儼又大加引徵《楞伽經》,也引用《勝鬘經》,論證如來藏存在。在佛性說上,智儼也引用三階教之說,指出佛性是凡聖皆具的生長因性,所以一切眾生皆是當來佛,又引及《寶性論》的十種佛性義。又引用《佛性論》中舉小乘諸部對佛性義的解執不同,有說佛性是空或說佛性是修得,又從修得上分別眾生有定無佛性、不定有無、定有佛性等三類「種性」,智儼又舉大乘《涅槃經》的約行辨性、約位辨性、約因辨性、約果辨性等四句佛性說。如來藏與佛性兩者名異實同,兩者究竟有何差別,智儼認為佛性說是接引小乘迴小向大的迴心教,如來藏說是直接針對菩薩的直進教。
