| Abstract | 魯班窯石窟位於山西省大同市西郊武州山南麓,與雲岡石窟隔河相望,據文獻記載為北魏時期尼寺的附屬石窟。2014至2018年,雲岡石窟研究院對魯班窯石窟進行維修、保護的同時,進行了考古調查。該石窟現存三座洞窟,窟內雕刻風化嚴重,但雕刻內容仍可辨析。根據該石窟的現存遺跡以及出土遺物可判斷其為統一規劃、設計的皇家石窟寺。魯班窯石窟對於研究北魏平城地區石窟寺的布局、興衰,北魏佛教藝術的特徵以及"雲岡模式"對我國石窟寺的影響提供了寶貴的實物資料。
The Lubanyao Grottoes are located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain in the western suburbs of Datong City, Shanxi Province. To the north, on the opposite side of a river, lie the Yungang Grottoes. According to historical documents,these caves were once a subsidiary of a local nunnery during the Northern Wei dynasty. From 2014 to 2018, the Yungang Grottoes Research Institute carried out archaeological investigation and conservation of the site; this report presents the findings of these investigations as well as a brief history of the grottoes. In total there are three caves in the site. The carvings in the caves have weathered considerably but the contents remain legible. Based on the present condition of the caves and the excavated relics, it can be determined that these grottoes are another set of royal cave temples in the vicinity of the Yungang Grottoes that were planned and designed in a unified way. The Lubanyao Grottoes provide valuable information for studying the layout of Northern Wei cave temples, the rise and decline of this style of temple design in the Pingcheng area, the characteristics of Northern Wei Buddhist art, and the influence of the “Yungang Model” on the cave temples of China. |
