| Abstract | 본 연구는 후기밀교 母딴뜨라 계열에 속하는 헤바즈라 딴뜨라에 나타난 관정의례의 전체적인 구조를 분석하고 각 단계에서 설해지는 관정이 어떠한 의미를 갖는가를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 특히 母딴뜨라는 성적요가, 주살(呪殺) 등 독특한 실천원리를 표방하고 있기에, 그동안 불교 내에서 이들 문헌에 대한 인식은 평가절하 되어 왔다. 또한 거기서 설해지는 이론과 실천들이 의례적 행위를 수반하고 있기 때문에 교리를 바탕으로 진행되었던 기존의 연구에서도 그다지 주목을 끌지 못했던 것도 사실이다.
본고에서는 불교 딴뜨라를 이해하는데 있어서 만다라의례, 호마의례, 관정의례 등 일련의 의례가 딴뜨라 문헌을 접근하는데 있어 중요하다는 점을 인식하고 관정의례를 연구의 시발점으로 잡았다. 관정의 제1단계인 아사리관정을 시작으로 제4단계인 제4관정에 이르기까지의 관정차제를 HT 원문에 의거하여 설명한다. 그중에서 제2단계인 비밀관정과 제3단계인 반야지 관정 속에 함축되어 있는 성교의례와 관련하여 그것이 HT에서 어떠한 의미를 가지는가를 살펴봄으로써 성교의례에 대한 시각을 재조명하고자 한다.
마지막으로 제4단계의 제4관정이 HT 실천체계에서 전 단계에 속하는 두 가지 관정(비밀관정, 반야지 관정)과 어떤 연관성이 있는지 살펴본다. 이를 통해 HT의 관정의례는 다름 아닌 제4관정에서 교시(敎示)되는 구생(俱生)의 체득을 통해 현실세계(世俗)와 절대세계(勝義)가 다르지 않다는 것을 깨닫게 하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다는 점에서 관정의 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.
The purpose of this paper is to analyse the structure of consecration in the Hevajra-tantra and grasp the meaning of each state consecration. Specially, as the Mother tantra is including several common elements related with the Hindu-tantra, the value of this literature has not been acknowledged till now. Also because the theory and practice of Buddhist tantra accompany a series of ritual behaviour, they are not the main subject of having concern in the Buddhism concentrated on the study of buddhistic doctrine system.
But in Buddhist tantra, it is a important part to deal with the Maṇḍala ritual, the Homa ritual and the Abhiṣeka ritual and so on. to understand the Buddhist tantra system.
Therefore the consecration of the Hevajra-tantra is explained from the first state(Abhiṣeka) to the last state(Caturthābhiṣeka) here. And the second state(Guhyābhiṣeka) and the third state(Prajñābhiṣeka) is containing the sexual ritual. In this case, we examine whether both of them have which meaning in the Hevajra-tantra. The misunderstanding of sexual ritual which is involved in the second or third consecration will be able to be revised again through this consideration.
According to the second or third consecration, the aim of these stages is acquisition of not having different consciousness between myself and the other people. This non-difference consciousness is related with the Fourth consecration instructed the teaching of Sahaja. Then the Fourth consecration is not a different thing but rather a same thing with the Hevajra-tantra practice system that tried to seek the identity of between the real world and the absolute world. |
