| Abstract | 신라승 둔륜(遁倫 혹은 道倫, ca. 650~730)의 『유가론기(瑜伽論記)』는 유식학의 근본논서인 『유가사지론(瑜伽師地論)』에 한 현존하는 몇 가지 주석서 가운데 하나이며, 특히 『유가론』100권 전체에 한 유일한 주석서로서 중요하다. 특히 『유가론기』에는 지금은 일실된 신라논사들의 『유가론』 주석서의 설을 포함하여 이전 논사들의 학설들이 집성되어 있어 당시 유식논사들의 산일된 주장과 사상적 이슈들을 복원하는데 있어서 중요한 자료임이 지적되어 왔다. 하지만 이와 같은 『유가론기』의 사상적 중요성에 한 학계의 초기의 기에도 불구하고, 『유가론기』와 이 논서에 등장하는 신라 논사들에 한 연구는 현재 그다지 활발하지 않다. 이것은 『유가론기』가 유식학의 방한 교리체계를 정리한 『유가론』의 주석서라는 점 이외에, 『유가론기』의 사상적 맥락을 이해하기 위해 요구되는 당 유식학의 교리적 논쟁점들에 한 선행 연구가 충분히 축적되지 않은 점 때문이다. 이 글에서는 『유가론기』에 한 보다 체계적인 연구의 필요성의 자각 하에, 이에 한 선행 작업으로서 신라 유식학과 『유가론기』의 관계를 중심으로 기존의 연구들을 상세히 정리하고, 앞으로의 전망과 남은 과제들에 해 논의하려 한다.
The Yugaron gi (瑜伽論記), Silla monk Dullyun’s commentary on the Yogācārabhūmi , is an important material in Buddhist studies, not only because it is the only extant East Asian commentary that deals with the entire volumes of the Yog āc ārabh ūmi , but also because it collectively cites ancient East Asian Yogācāra exegetes’ views, which are now lost. However, the research on the Yugaron gi has not progressed very far since its initial stage, because the contemporary controversial issues in Yogācāra doctrinal system has not been studied enough to understand the contents of the Yugaron gi . Under the recognition of the need for systemic study on the Yugaron gi , this article, as an initial step toward a broader and deeper understanding, overviews precedent research on the Yugaron gi and then discusses the remaining tasks. |
