| Abstract | 불교문화원형의 활용은 한국문화의 구체적 문화 현상을 현재화하고 새로운 문화생산에 기여하는 일이다. 불교문화원형의 활용은 문화적 공공성에 주목하여, 그 공공성의 가치를 통해 무한한 가치를 발견하고 이를 통해 다양한 이익을 창출하는 것이다. 이처럼 활용에 기반하였을 때만이 불교문화원형이 불교뿐만이 아니라 한국에서의 문화적 보편성을 획득해 낼 수 있다. 본 논문은 불교문화원형의 활용의 현황을 살펴, 활용의 방향성을 논의 하였다. 본 논의를 통해 종교문화원형의 가치를 현실화 할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 불교문화원형의 활용은 첫째, 불교문화원형에 대한 이해를 증진시켜 전통문화에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 될 것이고, 둘째, 불교가 가지는 종교적인 측면과 대사회적 기능의 접점을 찾아 불교계가 사회에 기여하는 전기가 될 것이며, 셋째, 불교문화의 다양성을 더욱 풍부하게 할 것고, 넷째, 불교문화원형의 활용은 종교 간의 이해를 증진시키고, 종교 간 화합을 통한 국민통합에 기여할 것이다. 이를 위해 고려해야할 사항도 논의하였다. 본 논의를 통해 전통의 영역에 잠들어 있는 문화요소를 오늘날 살아 숨쉬는 생생한 문화로 이끌어 내어 향유하는 길을 살펴보았다. 앞으로 한국의 불교문화의 가치를 되살려 한국인의 심성에 자리잡고 있는 다양한 가능성과 상상력을 자극할 수 있는 다양한 욕구를 충족시키는데 이바지하고자 한다.
Application of the Buddhist Cultural Archetypes allows actualization of the specific cultural phenomena in Korean culture, and contribution to a new cultural production. Application of the Buddhist Cultural Archetypes focuses on its public nature and discovers a limitless value potential through the public value, hence generating diverse profits. Such a practical application of the Buddhist Cultural Archetypes is essential in that it materializes obtaining a universality in Korea, not restricted to the Buddhist culture. The current state of applying Buddhist Cultural Archetypes was examined to discuss the direction and outlook of the application. Moreover possibilities of realizing values of religious Cultural Archetypes were presented based on the discussion of this study. First, applying Buddhist Cultural Archetypes enhances understanding of the Cultural Archetypes of Buddhism and subsequently broadens the scope of comprehending traditional culture. Second, a common denominator of the religious aspects and social functions of Buddhism is identified to enable Buddhist community to contribute to the society in general. Third, a diversity of the culture of Buddhism can be enriched in turn. Fourth, applying Cultural Archetypes of Buddhism can enhance inter-faith understanding among religions, and facilitate a unity of the people through inter-religious cooperations. Points of consideration were also discussed to realize the above mentioned merits of applying Cultural Archetypes of Buddhism. Based on the discussions delineated in this study, values of the culture of Korean Buddhism can be reinvigorated and a variety of desires for cultural nostalgia can be fulfilled by which diverse possibilities and imagination are stimulated. |
