Abstract | The implementation of proper learning is an important factor that determines the smoothness of the learning process and the achievement of learning outcomes. In this study, the authors conducted descriptive qualitative research at the Bodhicitta Private Elementary School in Medan with the object of research being the implementation of online learning in the teaching of Buddhism and character education in the sixth grade of elementary school. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was carried out descriptively by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From interviews, observations, and documentation, it was found that the implementation of online learning in the teaching of Buddhist Religion and Character Education for class VI Elementary School in the 2021/2022 academic year at SDS Budhicitta Medan is the whatsapp group application, google classroom, zoom meeting, google form, microsoft office, youtube,and google drive. The obstacles that arise in the online learning process are internet network problems, skills problems using information technology, internet quota problems, problems with mentoring students' guardians, and problems with limitations on gadgets, laptops, or mobile phones. To overcome these obstacles, SDS BuddhisBodhicitta has chosen several different providers to meet internet needs in learning, provide IT training for all educators, provide internet quota assistance for students, and provide a computer laboratory for online learning activities for both educators and participants. The advantages of online learning for Buddhist and Moral Education subjects at SDS Buddhis Bodhicitta are the ease of accessing learning materials, flexible learning places, cost efficiency, flexible study time, broadening students' insight, improving students' skills in utilizing information technology, and training independence of students.
Implementasi pembelajaran yang tepat merupakan faktor penting yang menentukan kelancaran proses pembelajaran dan ketercapaian hasil belajar. Pada penelitian ini, penulis melakukan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif di Sekolah Dasar Swasta Buddhis Bodhicitta Medan dengan objek penelitian implementasi pembelajaran daring pada pembelajaran pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti kelas VI SD. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, diperoleh hasil bahwa implementasi pembelajaran daring pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti kelas VI SD Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022 di SDS Buddhis Bodhicitta Medan adalah dengan aplikasi whatsappgrup, google classroom, zoom meeting, google form, microsoft office, youtube,dan google drive. Kendala yang muncul dalam proses pembelajaran daring adalah masalah jaringan internet, masalah keterampilan menggunakan teknologi informasi, masalah kuota internet, masalah pendampingan wali peserta didik, dan masalah keterbatasan gadget, laptop, atau telepon genggam. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut SDS Buddhis Bodhicitta memilih beberapa provideryang berbeda untuk memenuhi kebutuhan internet dalam pembelajaran, memberikan pelatihan IT untuk semua pendidik, memberikan bantuan kuota internet untuk peserta didik, serta menyediakan laboratorium komputer untuk kegiatan pembelajaran daring bagi pendidik maupun peserta.
