| Abstract | Still a large number of social media users who still don't understand the influence and effect of the use of social media towards religious harmony then became one of the causes of the growing decline in levels of religious harmony. This research was conducted against the background of the problem because of a lack of understanding in terms of the use of social media, it is still the existence of conflicts between religions that are caused by social media, youth still less care with harmony and still youth who have radical thought in religion. Through this research we will find out how much influence social media towards religious harmony youth Interfaith INGAGE Medan city year 2019.This research aims to find out how much influence social media towards religious harmony youth Interfaith INGAGE Medan city year 2019. Social media is one of the factors supporting religious harmony that can result in positive and negative. Social media play an important role to support the occurrence of religious harmony. This research was intended in this type of experimental research. This research uses a quantitative approach. The approach used in this study was correlational, i.e. research approach which aims to detect the extent of variable or more, other factors based on thecoefficient of correlationwith the object of research are the member of INGAGE in the city of Medan as many as 30 people. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, then it can be inferred that there is social media influence towards religious harmony youth Interfaith INGAGE Medan city year 2019.
Masih banyaknya pengguna media sosial yang masih tidak memahami pengaruh dari penggunaan media sosial terhadap kerukunan umat beragama kemudian menjadi salah satu penyebab semakin turunnya tingkat kerukunan umat beragama. Penelitian inidilakukan dengan latar belakang masalah karena kurangnya pemahaman dalam hal penggunaan media sosial, masih adanya konflik antar agama yang disebabkan oleh media sosial, masih adanya pemuda yang kurang peduli terhadap kerukunan dan masih adanya pemuda yang memiliki pemikiran radikal dalam beragama. Melalui penelitian ini kita akan mencari tahu seberapa besar pengaruh media sosial terhadap kerukunan umat beragama pemuda lintas iman INGAGE Kota Medan tahun 2019. Media sosial merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung kerukunan umat beragama yang dapat berakibat positif dan negatif. Media sosial memegang peranan penting untuk mendukung terjadinya kerukunan umat beragama. Penelitian ini termaksud dalam jenis penelitian eksperimental. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan korelasional, yaitu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeteksi sejauh mana variable atau lebih, faktor lain berdasarkan koefisien korelasinya dengan objek penelitian adalah anggota INGAGE di kota Medan sebanyak 30 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, maka disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif media sosial terhadap kerukunan umat beragama pemuda lintas iman INGAGE Kota Medan tahun 2019. |
