| Abstract | 이 논문은 천태의 십승관법의 관점에서 간화선 수행을 재조명하고자 한 것이다. 다만 간화선 수행에 관한 저술이 상당히 많으므로 연구범위를 청허휴정의 『선가귀감』으로 제한하고자 한다. 2장에서는 천태사상과 선사상의 교섭관계에 대해 선행연구에 근거해서 간단히 검토하고, 3장에서는 천태의 십승관법을 간단히 소개하고, 그 내용을 5가지 항목으로 압축한다. 4장에서는 3장에서 말한 5가지 항목에 근거해서 간화선 수행을 검토하는데, 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 『선가귀감』에서도 바른 진리의 가르침을 알아야 한다는 내용을 찾아볼 수 있는데, 그 내용이 교의(敎義)의 요점을 자세히 배운 뒤에 선지(禪旨)를 참구하라는 것으로 나타난다. 둘째, 『선가귀감』에서도 자비의 마음으로 서원(誓願)을 세워야 한다는 내용을 어느 정도 찾아볼 수 있는데, 그 내용이 ‘크게 분발하는 뜻’과 ‘화두를 크게 의심하는 마음’이 있어야 한다는 것으로 나타난다. 셋째, 지관을 닦아야 한다는 내용이 『선가귀감』에서는 활구(活句)를 참구해야 한다는 것으로 나타난다. 여기에 덧붙여서 『선가귀감』에서는 화두를 참구하는 방법에 대해서 3가지 관점 또는 비유로 설명하고, 화두를 참구하는 마음자세도 설명하고 있다. 넷째, 자신의 수행경지를 점검해야 한다는 내용도 『선가귀감』에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 그것이 『선가귀감』에서는 5가지 내용으로 더욱 구체화하고 있다. 다섯째, 진리에 대한 애착도 없어야 한다는 내용이 『선가귀감』에서도 나타난다. 여기에 덧붙여서 『선가귀감』에서는 진리에 대한 애착도 없는 경지에 대해 선시(禪詩)로 표현하고 언어의 관점에서 바라보기도 한다.
This paper reconstruct ganhwaseon(kan-hua chan, 看話禪) practice from viewpoint of Tian-tai(天台)'s shi-cheng guan-fa(十乘觀法). But I limit the scope of research to Cheongheo Hujeong(淸虛休靜)'s Seongagwigam(禪家龜鑑). In chapter Ⅱ, I study the connection of Tian-tai(天台) thoughts and Chan(禪) thoughts on the basis of the preceding research. In chapter Ⅲ, I introduce Tian-tai(天台)'s shi-cheng guan-fa(十乘觀法) briefly and I summarize those contents to 5 items. In chapter Ⅳ, I study ganhwaseon(kan-hua chan, 看話禪) practice on the basis of the preceding 5 items, and this is as follows. First, we find to know the right truth in Seongagwigam. It is to practice chan-yi(禪旨) after learning the doctrine minutely. Second, we find to vow by benevolence in Seongagwigam. It is to make strenuous efforts and to doubt hwadu(hua-tou, 話頭) very. Third, we find to practice zhi-guan(止觀) in Seongagwigam. It is to practice hwalgu(huo-ju, 活句). Besides we find to explain the method to practice hwadu(hua-tou, 話頭) by three viewpoint or simile and we find the attitude to practice hwadu(hua-tou, 話頭) in Seongagwigam. Fourth, we find to examine one's own stage in Seongagwigam. It is to take shape in five contents. Fifth, we find to be not attached to the truth in Seongagwigam. Besides we find to express by zen poetry(chan-shi, seonsi, 禪詩) about no attaching to the truth and to look from the viewpoint of language about no attaching to the truth. |
