| Abstract | 한국선에서 순수어록의 형태는 고려중기 및 말기에 출현한 4종 이외에는 보이지 않는다. 그러다가 20세기에 이르러 용성선사의 어록이 출현한 것은 그 자체로 의의를 지니고 있다. 용성성사의 어록은 1941년 삼장역회에서 발행되었다. 상⋅하 2권으로서 [前序]를 비롯하여, 본문 총 13장의 주제, [부록] 및 [後序]와 [跋文] 등으로 구성되어 있다. 『용성선사어록』은 선을 위주로 하면서 전통적인 선어록의 성격을 지니고 있으면서도, 교육과 포교 및 사회문제에 대한 용성 자신의 입장 등이 포함되어 있다. 특히 순수 선어록과 관련하여 형식에 있어서는 옛 선사들의 어록을 그대로 계승하여 그 구성체제를 유지하고 있다는 점이 돋보인다. 글의 표기에 대해서는 때로는 한문체의 어투로 표기되어 있는가 하면, 때로는 순한글의 모습으로 제시되어 있어서 옛날의 어록형태로부터 현대의 어록형태로 계승되는 과정이 드러나 있다. 내용에 있어서는 선종의 역사를 비롯하여 선의 근본적인 수행과 깨달음의 문제 및 마장의 파악과 그 극복, 그리고 근세 한국고승들과 관련된 화두 및 일화 등을 수록하였고, 나아가서 현대사회의 과학과 시대사조를 반영하여 그와 관련된 다양한 주제를 포섭하고 있는 점이 주목된다. 특히 『용성선사어록』은 과거의 선어록과 현대를 이어주는 가교의 역할을 하였다는 의의를 지니고 있다.
There are no genuine sayings form in Korean seon history, but four sayings of middle and end of Korea dynasty, that is to say, Jingak Hyesim-aurok[眞覺慧諶語錄], Backun Gyeonghan-aurok[白雲景閑語錄], Taego Bou-aurok[太古普愚語錄] and Naong Hyegeun-aurok[懶翁慧勤語錄]. From that time down to early 20C, we can see genuine sayings form in Korean seon history, i.e. the advent of Youngseonsa-aurok[龍城禪師語錄]. The advent of Youngseonsa-aurok comprised in vol.Ⅰ. of Complete works of Yongsung-Daejongsa[龍城大宗師全集]. This Complete works of Yongsung-Daejongsa was published in year 1941 by Samjang-Yeokhoi[三藏譯會]. Youngseonsa-aurok consisted of two volumes. That summarized as follows, that is ta say, a preface introduction by Kim Sung-geun[金聲根], the body of text are 13items, a supplement, after notice by Kimsan-Taeheup[金山泰洽] and a epilogue by Dongsan-Hyeil[東山慧一]. Youngseonsa-aurok recorded two types, namely, one sis genuine China alphabet the other is China alphabet and Korean alphabet. But the after with Korean alphabet is translated about the before with China alphabet. The contents of Youngseonsa-aurok are diversity themes. First is genuine analects of seon, Second is educations, Third is missionary work of Buddism, Forth is variety of problems modern society, etc. We know that the value of Youngseonsa-aurok are diversity. But the primary value is reappearance the genuine sayings form in Korean seon history. So, the Youngseonsa-aurok played an important role in this point. |
