Abstract | This article’s title is a slogan which projects role of women staying behind a curtain to make a successful man. The man may be her son, brother, husband or friend. Male dominated society does not want female to be in front line. The social tradition reflects and influence in culture. This article shows the role of Ysodhara to Siddhartha Gautam to accomplish his perfections and bodhisattva carya. Yasodhra’s contribution is not much highlighted because of our male dominated society in the Indian sub-continent. On the basis of Buddhist literature, this article focuses on how Yasodhara supported Buddha on his path to enlightenment. |
