| Abstract | 山谷寺湛然禪師是于天寶大歷年間在舒州三祖道場潛修的禪門大德,與天臺宗的湛然時代相當。禪宗湛然在天寶初期便擔任山谷寺都維那,對保護三祖舍利有很大貢獻,后又牽頭組織南北著名禪師為三祖請謚號。圍繞荼毗三祖靈骨、為三祖撰碑及請謚號等活動,南北兩宗暗中展開了較量。 |
