| Abstract | 이 글에서는 1920년대 공주포교당의 포교활동을 만해 한용운과 이영재의 불교개혁론과 관련해서 검토하고자 한다. 2장에서는 조선시대 불교문화의 한 단면을 살펴본다. 조선시대에는 불교의식집을 간행하는 것이 성행하였고, 수륙재와 우란분재도 성행하였다. 3장에서는 만해 한용운과 이영재의 포교론과 의례관에 대해 알아본다. 만해 한용운은 포교방법으로 여러 가지를 제시하고 있고, 또한 불교의식을 간소화할 것을 주장한다. 이영재는 만해 한용운의 포교론과 의례관을 수용한다. 그리고 나서 그것을 기반으로 해서 포교소의 제도개혁, 운영방식, 건축에 대해서도 의견을 제시한다. 이는 만해 한용운이 밝히지 않은 것이다. 4장에서는 공주포교당의 포교활동에 대해 검토한다. 공주포교당의 포교활동은 만해 한용운과 이영재의 포교론에 대해서는 수용하고, 의례관은 수용하지 않은 것으로 나타난다. 그래서 공주포교당에서는 만해 한용운과 이영재의 견해에 영향을 받아서, 야학을 열고 이재민을 구호하고 지역문화를 활성화시키는 역할을 한다. 그렇지만 불교의식에서는 수륙재와 우란분재를 거행하고 있는데, 이는 만해 한용운과 이영재의 견해를 수용하지 않은 것이다.
This article is to study the period of 1920's Gongju buddhist missionary center's activity in context of Han Yong Un and Lee Young Jae's the argument of buddhist reform. In chapter two, I will study the slice of Joseon dynasty buddhist culture, which to publish the collection of buddhist protocol, water land festival and ullambana are prevalent. In chapter three, I will study Han Yong Un and Lee Young Jae's the argument of missionary activities and the viewpoint of buddhist protocol. Han Yong Un presents the various method of missionary activities and insists to simplify the buddhist protocol. Lee Young Jae presents to reform the system of buddhist missionary center etc, based on Han Yong Un's viewpoint. In chapter four, I will study Gongju buddhist missionary center's activity, which accepts Han Yong Un and Lee Young Jae's the argument of missionary activities, and does not accept the viewpoint of buddhist protocol. So Gongju buddhist missionary center opens a night school, redeem the victims, and activates the local cultures because it is influenced by the viewpoint of Han Yong Un and Lee Young Jae. |
