This paper aims at figuring out the name of the tenth of ``the Ten observations on twelve links of dependent arising``(hereafter the Ten- Twelve) in the Dasabhumikasutra and other corresponding sutras. This research consists of two parts. The first is how to understand the relation between the word, ``observation`` (pratyaveksana, 觀, rab tu rtog pa) shown at the last part of the enumeration of the names in the Ten-Twelve and the names of the Ten-Twelve. Former researches have regarded this ``observation`` as part of the name of the tenth in the Ten-Twelve, namely ``observation from the perspective of non-existence and destruction`` (abhavaks ayatapratyaveksana,- 無所有 盡觀) or ``observation from the perspective of [links of] becoming and destruction``(bhavaksayatapratyaveksana, 有盡觀). However, I came to the conclusion that the word, ``observation`` should be interpreted as that which is related to all the names of the Ten-Twelve, not only to the name of the tenth after considering the context and comparing all extant witnesses about this word. The second is about contraditory variances of the tenth of the Ten-Twelve according to various sutras, texts, and locations where the tenth appears. The variances are diveded into two categories:``non-existence and destruction``(abha.va.ks.ayata,. 無所有盡) and ``[links of] becoming and destruction``(bha.va.ks.ayata., 有盡). From the viewpoint of Buddhist dependent arising, ``Non-existence`` means that each links of dependent arising has no its own consistent nature and appears temporarily only due to the prior links. ``[Links of] becoming`` is not about ontological existence but indicates just links in the twelve links of dependent arising, which do not ontologically exist. After examining these variances in chronological order and with regard to locations where this phrase appears, it seems to me that the phrase of ``non-existence and destruction`` is prototypal and older than that of ``[links of] becoming``.
