Note唯色，女，藏人。一九六六年出生於「文革」中的拉薩。籍貫為藏東康地的德格。一九八八年畢業於成都西南民族學院漢語文系，曾長期在拉薩擔任《西藏文學》雜誌的編輯。二○○三年，因散文集《西藏筆記》（繁體版《名為西藏的詩》，大塊文化出版）的批判言論，被當局查禁，並限制出境。二○○六年，在中國大旗網、藏人文化網上的部落格被關閉。

西方學者認為唯色是「中國知識分子中，運用現代傳媒表達觀點的第一位藏人」。著有詩歌、散文等十多種選集，在中國多家出版社出版，並被譯為英文和法文。另有繁體版著作《殺劫》、《西藏記憶》、《看不見的西藏》、《聽說西藏》（皆為大塊文化出版）等。二○○九年出版《鼠年雪獅吼》，係二○○八年西藏「三．一四」事件的大事記。現為自由作家。她的創作理念：「寫作即遊歷；寫作即祈禱；寫作即見證。」

曾獲國際婦女傳媒基金會二○一○年度新聞勇氣獎、二○一二年德國之聲博客大賽「記者無疆界」公眾獎、美國國務院二○一三年度「國際婦女勇氣獎」等諸多獎項。
