Abstract 地論學派的傳播歷來以洛陽、鄴城、長安爲三大中心。鄴城的寺院格局,隨著地論師各自所住持的寺院方位不同,從而呈現出一定的「對峙」。至北朝末年隋初,隨著北周平定北齊、武帝滅佛,輝煌一時的鄴城佛教也成爲廢墟。隨著隋朝的統一,鄴城佛教的力量也匯聚到長安,與原來的西魏、北周地論學派匯合,再融合了南方佛教的傳統,隋初的地論學派呈現出複雜、豐富的樣態。地論學派在隋初的重要人物,主要有靈裕、凈影慧遠、志念,以三個人爲中心,分別由高熲、楊廣、楊諒等支持,形成相州寶山寺、長安凈影寺、晉陽三大學術中心。隋初的地論學派因爲歷史傳承的不同,政治外護之間的不同與衝突,領袖人物之間的不和,三大學術集團輝映一時,無疑大大增強和放大了鄴城佛教的原有「對峙」—道憑與法上、道寵與法上等。因此,地論學派「南北二道」的對峙不僅是佛教界內部力量的「抗衡」,也具有政教關係與皇室爭權的「鬥爭」。
