Abstract五代以降，禪宗傳法呈現出各地多頭並弘之勢。提取燈錄等文獻中的禪師數量及傳法時空信息，運用歷史地理學方法可以動態、系統展示五代北宋時期禪宗僧團傳法的空間分布，復原禪宗傳法的地理進程。由此進一步歸納五代和北宋兩個時期禪宗傳法的空間格局變化特徵，可以發現：唐末五代時期，各個僧團受到不同政治勢力的護持，各自的化區與政治邊界趨向一致，南北政權交界的山南東道地區成為此時僧團往來遷徙的樞紐所在；進入北宋以后，由於禪宗寺院官選住持制度的推廣，禪師開法地點多變，各個僧團傳法呈現出高度空間流動性。不過，在紛繁復雜的傳法播遷現象背後，還是可以看到兩浙路成為各個僧團流向的交匯之地。
